BUI HUU HUNG Vietnam, Born in 1957 OIL ON BOARD Signed lower right He is best known for his use of traditional lacquer techniques, though he also works with oil, acrylic, mixed media, and sculpture. In 1994, he co-founded the Avant-Garde group in Hanoi. His painting Ancient Stage was shown in Tokyo in 1996, earning global recognition. Since his first solo exhibition in 1995 at the Australian Embassy in Hanoi, he has held solo shows around the world, including in London, Paris, Miami, Singapore, Hong Kong, Dubai, and beyond.
