A carved sandstone figure of Buddha standing, wearing a carefully draped sanghati, hair tiered in radiating hanks, ushnisha above; slender youthful body, face with full lips and aquiline nose; mounted on a custom-made stand. 80.3 kg total, 1.34m with stand (52 3/4"). Property of a Cambridgeshire private collector; formerly from a London private collection formed 1980s; accompanied by geologic report No. TL005261 by geologic consultant Dr R. L. Bonewitz.
