An ivory and gilt silver Balinese kris sword, the jagged iron blade topped by an incredibly intricate figure of the Hindu goddess Kali, the scabbard carved with swirling tendril and dot motifs and adorned with four ivory panels depicting various Hindu gods in pose, topped with an incredibly detailed ivory slab in the shape of an axe carved with the striking face of a kala demon flanked by two attendants. The gilt silver surface of the scabbard encases a bamboo wood foundation.
