The rounded rectangular body with a roiro- nuri ground decorated in gold takamaki-e with auspicious New Year symbols, depicting a portrait of Jurojin inlaid in high and flat relief of gold, shakudo, and shibuichi holding a sprig of plum and a crane feeding its nested chicks on a pine tree on the reverse, the crane and chicks similarly inlaid in silver, shibuichi and gold metal high relief, all on a ground of abundant pine, the interior of dense gyobu, signed on the bottom case in gold lacquer Kajikawa saku with a tsubo-shaped seal Ei and Toshiaki hogen on a gold rectangular reserve. 10cm high.
