JAPANESE IMARI PORCELAIN PLATE, LATE 19TH-EARLY 20TH CENTURY A finely decorated Imari porcelain plate with scalloped rim, painted in iron-red, cobalt blue, and green enamels. The center features a blue roundel of floral and bird motifs within a hatched border, surrounded by radiating panels of bamboo and flowering plants, alternating with reserves of fruit sprays. The reverse with underglaze-blue auspicious symbols and double-ringed footrim. Dimensions: 9 in. (22.9 cm) diameter. Condition: Very small chip to the rim; otherwise in excellent condition with only light wear consistent with age.
