Takeru Amano (Japanese, b. 1977), Venus One, prints, signed with the artist 's signature, limited edition 50. 29.92" x 22.05"w (76 x 56 cm) Japanese painter and sculptor Takeru Amano is known for reinventing classical, mythological subjects with neo-pop aesthetics and a touch of humor. As a son of famous Japanese visual artist Yoshitaka Amano, Takeru Amano lives and breathes art since childhood. To arrive at his own style, he incorporates various working methods including painting, printmaking, sculpture, and design. For him, art is not a vehicle for social and political commentaries, but purely aesthetic exploration of ideas.
