Woodblock print by Showa Period artist, Kaoru Kawano (Japanese, 1916 - 1965), titled "Girl with Two Birds" featuring a young girl holding two birds. Measures: Site: 9" x 15" Frame: 13-1/2" x 19-3/4". Kawano was a woodblock print artist who worked during the Showa period (1926-1989). Kawano combines Western elements with traditional Japanese techniques and gained international recognition through exhibitions in North America and elsewhere.
