DESCRIPTION: Incredible original watercolor showing a Japanese scene with flower sellers in a boat and girls on the deck of a waterside building. One of the best watercolors of this type I've ever seen. The details are amazing from the figures and their clothing, to the architecture, the flowers and pine boughs, the draped tapestry, etc. Everything is extremely well done with precision and excellent sense of color. Very similar in subject and quality to works by noted American artist Robert Blum, a specialist in Asian scenes.
