An exquisite, antique, large, diamond, crescent brooch composed of a central rose gold and silvered crescent mount, studded with three bands of old-cut diamonds within claw settings, the central band set with twelve, graduated but larger, whiter, old-cut diamonds (totaling approx 1.75 carats). A delicately pierced gallery and on the reverse, hand-worked fancy back-holing, the rose gold brooch pin, pendant loop and fitting to wear as a head-piece. Dimensions: 3.3 x 3.2 cm, Weight: 9.6 g, Unmarked, (tested as 18 ct gold). Approx carat weight: 2 carats.
