無題Untitled 「我的全部作品其實是我內心的自畫像，是和自己的對話。至於說這些圖像的來源，是在對話的過程中回憶自己的童年時代。」 ─ 奈良美智 作為當今炙手可熱的國際性日本當代藝術家，奈良美智的藝術語言所表述的不僅是自身內省後的呢喃絮語，更多的是代表著他那一代人的時代精神與對過去懷舊事物的萬般依戀。奈良美智筆下的小孩單純可親，卻流露著不懷好意的情緒，這是龐克搖滾對他的影響的緣故。《無題》為奈良美智2007年創作，畫中小女孩睜著大眼睛，似乎欲言又止，而她眼中顯示的「孤單」，顯示出藝術家對於往昔孩提時代的懷舊反思。奈良美智畫作中不可妥協卻又堅強抵禦外在世界的人像神情，正是所有曾經迷離、孤單的世人身影；藝術家以追求真實內心自我的繪畫與世界相抗衡的當下也與外在世界溝通，透過這樣的藝術語言，娓娓道出使他存在的力量，也給予孤寂人們撫慰傷感的溫暖。 ”All my paintings are portraits of my own inner self, representing a dialogue with my personality.” ─ Yoshitomo Nara Yoshitomo NARA One of the brightest stars of the international contemporary art scene, Japanese artist Yoshitomo Nara possesses an artistic language that conveys not only murmured musings of self-reflection, but also the spirit of his generation and nostalgia for the objects of the past. “Untitled”created in 2007, In the painting, the little girl with big eyes who seems wish to speak out but doesn’t on a second thought. These wicked-ish looks somehow are actually selfreflections of an uneasy, emotionally turbulent childhood. He depicts these lonely figures as reflection to his inner soliloquy, which just so happen to echo the dilemma of that generation and the confusion of their souls. Like many self-portraits, Nara’s paintings betray an uncompromising spirit and a strong defiance of the outside world. They are pictures of those who have been lost and lonely. While the artist contends with the world by pursuing his true inner self through art, he also communicates with the world, exhibiting the energy of his existence through art, and soothing the wounds of the lonely.
