18 kt yellow patina gold depicting a hoopoe with plique-à-jour enamel wings in pastel pink-purple-grey colours, and the crest set with 10 small emeralds. A rectangular emerald is placed where the wing tips meet. The piece is embellished by an 18 kt yellow and white gold tassel set with 3 small diamonds and a baroque pearl, probably natural. Comes in a newer 1950's case stamped PW only copy. Hallmark: none, number 42907 engraved on the edge. This is a unique variation of the Hoopoe model (cat. 346) issued as a very small series ca. 1901.
