Japanese Hanging Scroll, by IMAO KEINEN (1845-1924), "Flower and Two Birds in Snow Scenery" Artist: Imao Keinen 今尾 景年 (1845~1924) Imao Keinen was a painter from Meiji era to Taisho. He learned painting from Suzuki Hyakunen. He was ranked as one of great painter with Suzuki Shonen, Kubota Beisen. He was good at Flowers and Birds painting. Signature and Seal = Keinen. Scroll Box = None. Primary Material= Silk. Technique = Hand-painted. Roller Ends = Horn of Deer. Condition = Refer to all pictures, there are stains and wrinkles overall. Size of the scroll: 67cm x 202.5cm / 26.3" x 79.7" (inches). His "Peacocks" sold at Christie's in New York, on 03-18-2008 for $13,750.
